Emulation General

does steam deck support switch 2 yet?

I don't think it will cuz the hardware is too similar in terms of power. Steam Deck is already starting to show its age. You need some extra power for emulators. Will probably be possible on the Steam Deck 2.

Emulators i currently use:
DesMuMe (for Transformers Decepticons)
PCXS2 (for Manhunt and Transformers : The Game)

I use Emulation Station on PC for everything. Might pick up a Retroid Pocket 5 down the line.

Maybe the ROG Ally X or the Xbox one but IDK. The Legion Go 2 will probably be able to, that will probably be a much, much more powerful system.

whatever it takes to froglaugh switch2cacas

Switch 2 might end up having a massive issue with piracy, funnily enough. I can only imagine how many people are gonna just hop on emulation and tell Nintendo to fuck off. From there, Nintendo will have to either provide a good alternative (powerful, competent hardware with actual backwards compatibility for their old games and PC ports), or forever play a game of legal whack-a-mole and slowly lose more and more market share as competitors inevitably show up.

I had an idea for a device built for emulating ps3/xbox 360 called the swag mlg boy
https://youtu.be/MznSp6IbU7w
did this commercial for a school project, maybe i'll make it real. it would have a disk drive so you can own your games instead of being a bugman

Gemmy idea but how would you fit the disc drive in a handheld? Just pirate the ROMs online, you still technically own them that way.

external usb disk drive or the girth of 2 xbox 360 game boxes

I mainly emulate PS2 and PS3 games. PCSX2 is stable most of the time, no complaints really. RPCS3 usually requires tweaks of some type, annoying but not cumbersome enough to stop me from playing.

I'll froglaugh when the Switch 2 get HACKED RAW after Nigtendo went on a leaking campaign to convice people that it's "unhackable".

Nigtendo stifled switch emulators with legal threats pretty effectively. Game/software cracking is inevitable, but building emulators will be a challenge for willing devs. Upside is that nigtoddler trannies got shrekt by LawyerGODs and are still leaking about it.

I mainly just emulate F-Zero, Metroid, PS2, and Xbox 360. I'm thinking of getting a retro handheld of some sorts to play that stuff on the go. That or I'll just wait for a next-gen PC handheld like a Steam Deck 2 or Lenovo Legion Go 2 or something like that yeah.
