When you post your pfp AS a post, you can go down and click the arrow in the little size information tab to go to the media asset page for it and grab the final numbers in the URL. Everyone is getting confused between Post ID, Upload ID, and MediaAsset ID. It's ONLY MediaAsset IDs that it's able to accept.

Just crop it in an image editing software.

btw you don't need to make it public tho

If this doesn't work, click on the arrow next to a post's size to go to the media asset page for it and get the id number from the URL. You can also find your image in Post>Upload>All Uploads and get the asset id from there.
